Car waxes are used to give protection and shine to your car’s paint. Since there are dozens of them out there on the market, I decided to show you 2 best car waxes you should use.
Of course, you might hear some other opinions somewhere else, but due to my experience and research, you should buy yourself those ones.
Types of Car Waxes
Before I reveal to you my choices, you should know two main types of car waxes:
- Natural carnauba waxes: Made from the leaves of a palm tree
- Synthetic waxes (a.k.a. sealants): Made of polymers (synthetic materials)
I’m going to show you the best overall wax for both categories, and then it’s up to you which one you’d like to get for your car.
Carnauba vs. Synthetic Wax: Which One To Choose?
It’s all up to you, but since there are some key differences, I decided to make a table and show you which wax is better for what.
As you can see, natural carnauba wax will always give more shine to your car. However, when it comes to durability and light scratches protection, synthetic wax (sealant) is better.
So, it’s up to you which one you’ll prefer more. Personally, I like carnauba wax more because of that beautiful glossy shine my car gets when I use carnauba wax.
So, if you’re looking to get the best shine out of your car paint, carnauba wax is the choice.
However, if you don’t have enough time to apply carnauba wax every few weeks on your car, you should choose sealant (synthetic wax), since it will last much longer.
Best Natural Wax: P21S Concours Carnauba Wax
In the sea of natural carnauba waxes, there’s one that stands out from the crowd: P21S Concours Carnauba Wax (check the price on Amazon).
Here are some advantages of this natural wax:
- High-quality product at a reasonable price
- Easy to apply and remove
- Gives the perfect shine to the car (especially for dark colors)
- No white residue
- Some people claim that they could use it even on a direct sunlight
I have tried plenty of waxes on my black car, and this is the one I’m happiest with, so I have to recommend it to everyone.
Best Synthetic Wax: Meguiar’s Ultimate Liquid Wax
If you choose to buy a synthetic wax (sealant), then the Meguiar’s Ultimate Liquid Wax (check the price on Amazon) would be my choice.
I like this sealant more than others because this one really gives your car an amazing shine. Also, it’s very easy to apply and buff, both with hands or with a machine.
This sealant should last from 4-6 months, which is a few times more comparing to carnauba waxes.
The only con is that it’s a bit harder to remove once you decide to remove it.
